ConsumerMedical Statement on COVID-19
Like many businesses today, ConsumerMedical continues to navigate the new norms associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. As we do, one central principle guides all our actions: the safety and well-being of our employees, their families, our community, and clients.
To ensure we meet our goals, we continually monitor the environment and update our guidelines accordingly. Based on the latest recommendations, our employees will continue to work from home until we receive guidance from State, Federal, and other organizational authorities that it is safe to return to our offices.
The past few months have not been easy for any of us. We are proud of the adaptability and focus our employees have demonstrated. Our team of physicians, nurses, and clinical allies continue to deliver personalized guidance, evidence-based information and compassionate support to meet any and all medical and behavioral health needs our members face during this crisis.
Our team is also working diligently to provide clients with proactive and innovative solutions to meet the unique needs of today. Earlier this month, we rolled out enhanced services to our clients through the ConsumerMedical COVID-19 Support Center. This free informational website includes the latest clinically vetted information on the virus, live weekly webinars—featuring the opportunity to ask questions of leading physicians—videos on topics ranging from recognizing symptoms to coping, plus access to our clinical teams of nurses and physicians for personalized support. Our clients and participants can access these resources via https://consumermedical.com/covid19.
As states begin to allow electives surgeries to resume, the pent-up patient demand for surgical and procedure care could be intense. Both employers and employees will have many questions around safety, timing, and appropriateness. Our Surgery Decision Support program offers an evidenced-based, quality-centric solution with clinical guidance, tools, and resources to navigate the post-pandemic wave ahead.
This crisis also highlights the importance of behavioral health and addiction support programs that address the anxiety, depression, and stress we see across our society. Every day, our teams are helping members cope with the emotional toll of this devastating outbreak. Our clinicians provide accurate information and compassionate support, while also connecting members to valuable employer and community resources. Our Allies are available and can be reached by calling 1-888-361-3944 or visiting myconsumermedical.com.
We continue to think of our clients and employees during this difficult time. We know that together, we will get through the current crisis. If you have any questions, or if there’s anything we can do to assist you, please contact your ConsumerMedical program manager or representative. Thank you.
Stay Healthy. Stay Safe. Stay Strong.
